Help your youth academy

How will donating to the youth academy work?

help your youth academy
e.g. »
Former ticket price£25
New ticket price £20
Saving £5
Voluntary donation to academy £1 to £5

What's the difference in donating to the youth academy in this way?
  1. Only fans who can afford to pay more than £20 will do so. Poorer fans who can only afford to pay £20 don't have to donate.
(£20 and an extra bum on a seat is better than staying away when prices are £25+).
  2. The academies will receive more money than before, as most of the money previously went on excessive wages (and wags clothes).
If my club takes less money from cheaper tickets, won't this be bad financially for my club? No, find out why»

How do we know that clubs will spend voluntary donations on their youth academy?

Clubs - like all businesses - have to declare where their money is spent, so they won't be able to siphon off donations for other purposes (if they did, they would run the risk of losing all their donations altogether).

If there is no such fund set up at your club for donating to the youth academy; just give it time (it will happen eventually).
